Quick tip: How to install fonts on your PC or Mac

Most people don’t install many fonts on their machines – and so by the time you do need to install a font, you’ve forgotten what do it. Well, it’s simple really. There are several options for you to choose, but these simple ways do it for me:

On a Mac

In your finder, go to your hard drive, open the Library folder and find the Fonts folder lower down. Drop your new fonts in there. It’s as simple as that.

You could of course use the Fontbook installed on your Mac, but why bother?

On a PC

Even simpler really. On most PCs you just need to double click the font file itself. At the top of the window that comes up, you just click the install button.
